FIRST HOUR - NIGHTLIFE FINANCE - 2024 could mean some big changes in relation to personal finance. Independent financial advisor Nick Bruining returns with Philip Clark on Nightlife with simple and smart financial advice.   

SECOND HOUR - NIGHTLIFE NEWS BREAKDOWN - Peter Martin, Business and Economy Editor, The Conversation Australia & Visiting Fellow, Crawford School of Public Policy, Australian National University. The government's amended stage-three tax cuts will become law after Opposition Leader Peter Dutton affirmed that the Coalition would vote in parliament to pass them. Question time was animated, with the issue dominating proceedings as Labor goaded the Opposition and accused it of wanting to block tax relief for Australians. And as very widely predicted, the Reserve Bank of Australia decided to keep the cash rate target on hold at 4.35 per cent. Governor Michele Bullock warned, however, that "the job's not done" in her press conference after the announcement. 

SECOND HOUR - NIGHTLIFE HISTORY - This week marks the 60th anniversary of the Beatles' historic arrival in New York City, a defining moment that ignited Beatlemania across America. Meanwhile, Australia witnessed its own Beatlemania surge in 1964 with a groundbreaking 20-concert tour across the country and chart domination, securing six spots in Cash Box's Top 100. 

Greg Armstrong - Beatles historian, forthcoming Beatles author and co-host of the Australian radio's Let It Be Beatles, the world's longest running weekly show dedicated to the fab four joined Philip Clark to reminisce over events 60 years ago. 

SECOND HOUR - SCREEN STUFF  - Film and television critic Wen Lei Ma joined Philip Clark to review the latest on our screens, big and small. A look this week at Force of Nature: The Dry 2 starring Eric Bana and Anna Torv, the TV remake of the 2005 series, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, and Riceboy Sleeps.

FOURTH HOUR - NIGHTLIFE SPORT NEWS - Sports Broadcaster and Author Warwick Hadfield joined Philip Clark on Nightlife to discuss the latest news and issues in sport.
