Nightlife - Cancer detection and treatments, the space explosion called the Tasmanian Devil and exploring York Peninsula

FIRST HOUR - CANCER PREVENTION, DETECTION AND TREATMENT - Australia's cancer outcomes are among the best in the world. Still, it is not the story for all Australians, as there are significant disparities in cancer outcomes among specific groups in our society. Earlier this month, The Australian Cancer Plan was launched by Professor Dorothy Keefe, chief executive officer of Cancer Australia, and it is designed to improve cancer outcomes, particularly for groups with the poorest health outcomes.

It's been developed through an extensive and rigorous stakeholder engagement process, with more than 700 submissions and consultations having input, encompassing more than 400 groups and 300 individuals. Professor Keefe joined Philip Clark on Nightlife to discuss the latest developments regarding cancer, its prevention, detection, and treatments, and where we focus on improvement.

Associate Professor Charley Lineweaver, Astrophysicist at the Research School of Astronomy and Astrophysics, Australian National University joined Philip Clark on Nightlife to discuss the very latest news and issues in science and space.

SECOND HOUR - MONDAY NIGHT TRAVEL - York Peninsula is just an hour or so out of Adelaide but feels further away when touring the area seeking some time out.
