Nightlife History - Forgotten Heroes(ABC News: Eleni Curry)

Accounts of World War Two allied victory over the Japanese in the Pacific theatre usually encompass the Australian resistance, their victory at Kokoda and the PNG campaign, and the island-hopping successes as US forces pushed westward towards Japan. Little has been written about the Australian campaigns to defeat Japanese forces in places like Bougainville, the Solomons and Borneo. Even less research has been done into the role of the local populations in assisting Australian and other allied forces in beating the Japanese forces.

Forgotten Heroes: The True Story of Sarawak People Who Fought and Died Assisting Allied Forces in WWII aims to outline the critical role played by Sarawak. Written by Paul Malone, Author, journalist, and historian who joined Philip Clark to reveal their feats further.
