Australia's capital Canberra will be the site of climate protest by activists from the Pacific.

350 Pacific campaigner Jacynta Fa'amau says the protest is planned for Friday ahead of the Federal Budget, which will tabled next week.

Ms Fa'amau says the protest at Parliament House is aimed at drawing attention to Australia's environmentally harmful oil and gas policies.
