Renowned Aussie social psychologist, Hugh Mackay, recently released his book The Way We Are. Dom Knight spoke to him about tackling the loneliness epidemic, how it's affected us as social creatures, relationships, as well as violence against women. 

Dr George Olah, from the Fenner School of Environment and Society at ANU, gave an insight into the illegal wildlife trade, which is worth over 30 billion a year.

Professor of History at the University of Massachusetts Boston, Bonnie Miller, dived into the origins of the Spanish-American War, followed by some more history on our quiz.

For Big Country Small World, Alys Marshall, the rural reporter for ABC Kimberley, shared the biggest stories of the week out of her region.

With the Global Plastics Treaty conference underway in Ottowa, Canada, we spoke to Cressida Bowyer, who is there right now. Cressida, who is the deputy director of Revolution Plastics Institute at the University of Portsmouth, discussed why the treaty is so significant and what we can expect from it.
