Sisters in Islam
It's International Women's Day and the United Nations Development Fund is hosting a series of events around the country.
In Canberra, the guest speaker at a special Women's Day lunch is Malaysian activist Dr Hamidah Marican. Dr Marican is the executive director of Sisters in Islam, a Malaysian organisation to promote the rights of women within Islam.
She tells us that her organisation is facing greater opposition within Malaysia.
