Adoptions in Australia
We hear about adoption in Australia from Tim Beard, head of the Child and Youth Welfare Unit at the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare.
In 2008-9, there were just 441 adoptions in Australia compared with 10,000 in 1971-72.
