The future of palliative care

Four Corners returns to ABC TV tonight with a powerful program that follows four Australians as they die.

It's titled A Good Death, something many of those interviewed in the film feel is being denied to many Australians.

Dr Richard Chye is the director of the Sacred Heart Palliative Care Unit at St Vincent's Public hospital in Sydney.

He wants to see a more open debate about ways of dealing with death and dying.
