Chris Haywood's name is synonymous with some of the biggest films and TV shows to come out of Australia since the 70s — like Newsfront, Breaker Morant and The Man from Snowy River.

He started life in the South-East of England, in places where huge carpets of leaves fell in autumn and filled up the dells.

In the 1960s, Chris auditioned for a new, improvisational acting school on a whim, and E15 pushed him to his physical and emotional limits.

His introduction to Australia was a two-day party at Whale Beach, which launched him into the local acting scene, and his first marriage, with the luminous Wendy Hughes.
